On April 6, 1966, Kristin Campbell Hogan blessed the lives of Carol and Colin Campbell in Minneapolis, Minnesota. All of her schooling was achieved in Greeley, Colorado and she graduated from Greeley Central High in 1984. She attended the University of Northern Colorado for a period of time and joined the United States Air Force in 1986, spending her entire tour of duty in the Philippines.
In 1990 upon discharge Kris moved to Honolulu, Hawaii to live with Carol and Colin for a year and then returned to Greeley where she was employed at the North Colorado Medical Center.
In 1992 Kris moved to California to be with her future husband, Phil Hogan. In 1996 Kris became employed at the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department where she remained until her divorce in 2007 when she moved to Ruthven, Iowa to again live near her parents.
Kris was an extremely compassionate person and animal lover. Kris will join her beloved Shih Tzu, Lady, who died in 2007. Kris helped raise Phil’s three daughters from a prior marriage, Ainoah, Sandra and Lorraine.
Kris loved the Colorado mountains and enjoyed skiing and sight seeing. Upon returning to Iowa in July of 2007 Kris was particularly close to her brother Clay whom she adored. They enjoyed almost daily contact by phone and frequent visits.
So very grateful for sharing her life are her parents, Colin and Carol Campbell of Ruthven, Iowa, her sister, Amy and her husband, Sam Schlotman and their two daughters Madeline and Emily of Phoenix, Arizona, her brother, Clay Campbell and his special friend Sara Gerke of Anthon, Iowa, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jarvis and Verna Campbell and Clair and Frances Walsh.
