  VIEW/SEND CONDOLENCES

William Mark Gluch was born in Philadelphia, the son of the late Mark Konstantimovich Gluch and the late Evdokia Andreeva Muliawa. Affectionately known as "Tim" and later as "Pop-Pop". Tim was a loving and devoted husband to Irene (nee Schanne) for fifty eight years. He is lovingly missed by five children: Joan and her husband Joseph Johnson, Janet, Karen and her husband Scott Lea, Mark and his wife Lynda, and Christine. Pop-Pop is deeply loved by his five grandchildren: Katherine Scranton, Matthew Scranton, Megan Lea, Jennifer Lea and Alison Leunis. He was predeceased by his brothers John, Michael and Peter, and his sisters Anne (Gluch) Pellegrino and Mary (Gluch) Klapp.

Tim lived his entire life in the Philadelphia region, and was a life long member of St Nicholas Eastern Orthodox Church, serving in a number of leadership positions over the years. Ever devoted to his family, Tim enjoyed family vacations in Ocean City, New Jersey, and later in life, traveling with Irene and their dear friends Mort and Marge Bond. Tim was an avid fisherman and was an active member of both the Keystone Stripers as well as the Long Beach Island Fishing Club.

Tim and Irene enjoyed many social activities with his high school fraternity friends, and sustained enduring friendships among the group through monthly penny poker games, vacation trips to the mountains and yearly Christmas parties. At all social events, Tim and Irene were always first on the dance floor, and they continued their life long interest in dancing into their years at Springhouse Estates, where they regularly won all of the dance contests. In their later years, Tim and Irene enjoyed the companionship of many new friends at Springhouse Estates in Lower Gwynedd, where they resided since 2002.

Tim was also a passionate educator and supporter of the public school system, serving his entire professional career with the School District of Philadelphia as a mathematics and industrial arts teacher, and department head.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family at St Nicholas Eastern Orthodox Church on Saturday, October 31 at 10:30 for visitation and at 11:00 for Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St Nicholas Church in his memory.
