| | | Jason E. Bales, 39, of Martinsville died on Saturday, February 16th at 11:45 a.m. at the St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove.
He was born on January 4, 1969 in Bloomington, Indiana, the son of Richard L. and Pam D. (Warmoth) Bales, both surviving in Martinsville.
On March 28, 1987 he married his wife, Michele L. (Walker) Bales, who survives in Martinsville.
He was employed with Altec Industries in Indianapolis for the past 9 years and Major Tool and Machine, also in Indianapolis, for the previous 10 years.
He was a member of the Zions Hill Baptist Church in Martinsville, where he played on the church softball team and taught Sunday school. He also belonged to the Paragon Conservation Club and the Master Gardeners Club of Morgan County.
He was a graduate of Martinsville High School with the class of 1987.
Jason enjoyed playing basketball & softball, gardening, nascar and all outdoor activities. He was also a devoted Indianapolis Colts and Indiana University fan.
Survivors include his wife, parents, 2 sons, Joe T. and Jake T. Bales, both of Martinsville; 2 brothers, Sam & Ryan Bales both of Martinsville; and maternal grandmother and step-grandfather, Bud & Dorothy Warmoth Dill, both of Martinsville. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John & Nellie Bales and maternal grandfather, Ralph Warmoth.
Friends may call on Monday, February 18th from 4-8:00 pm and on Tuesday, Feb. 19th from 10-11 a.m. at Neal & Summers Funeral Home. A service celebrating his life will be on Tuesday, Feb. 19th at 11:00 a.m. at Neal & Summers. Burial will follow in Zions Hill Cemetery, Martinsville.
Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Morgan County Relay for Life, 6030 W. 62nd Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46278.
