| | | Kenneth Baker, 67, Martinsville, died at 12:10 p.m. June 9, 2004, at Morgan Hospital & Medical Center in Martinsville.
The son of the late George and Mary (Owens) Baker, he was born July 15, 1936, in Morgan County. His wife, Norma (McKee) Baker, whom he married June 11, 1954, survives.
Baker retired in 1998 from Amtrak in Beech Grove, where he was a welder.
He enjoyed stock car racing, retiring from racing in 1972, and also loved flower gardening and the outdoors.
Other survivors include two daughters, Rhonda Rush, Indianapolis, and Cheryl Alexander, Ben Hur, Va., and four grandsons, Bobby, Jason, Damon and Kenny Alexander.
A sister, Carol Pottorff, also preceded him in death.
The service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Neal & Summers Mortuary in Martinsville. Burial will be in New South Park Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. until time of the service Saturday at the mortuary.
