| | | Earl E. “Peanut” Adams, 43, Martinsville, died June 19, 2004, in Bedford.
The son of Edith E. (Pearcy) Adams, Martinsville, and the late Dean Edward Adams Sr., he was born Nov. 6, 1960, in Martinsville. His wife, Tammy A. (Mitchell) Adams, survives in Bedford.
Adams was a self-employed sub-contractor around Morgan County. Previously, he had been employed by Atkins Body Shop in Martinsville as a tow truck driver and for the City of Martinsville Waste Department.
He was a member of North American Hunting Club.
Other survivors include two sons, Jimmy Dean and Billy Gene Adams, both of Martinsville; a daughter, Jonie Ninette Adams, Martinsville; six brothers, Robert Adams, Ohio; Dean Adams Jr., Morgantown; Gary Adams, Florida; Roger Adams, Indianapolis; John Adams, Tennessee, and Kenny Adams, Martinsville; two half brothers, Jack Adams, Virginia, and Joe Adams, Indianapolis; a sister, Lisa Blankenship, Tennessee; six half sisters, Mae Greeson, Betty Jackson, Elosie Walls and Sue Crowe, all of Martinsville, and Ann Lauderman and Dorothy Martin, both of Mooresville, and four grandchildren.
Two brothers, Timmy and Eric Adams; a sister, Vickie Adams; two half sisters, Rose Groshong and an infant sister, and one half brother, William “Bill” Adams, also preceded him in death.
The graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. today at Mt. Gilead Cemetery in Brown’s Crossing. The Rev. Pat Davis will officiate.
There will be no visitation.
