| | | Steven Lee Bancroft, 62, Mooresville, died at 5:25 p.m. April 16, 2005, at Morgan Hospital & Medical Center in Martinsville.
The son of Gilbert and Bertha Mae (Carwell) Bancroft, Greenup, Ill., he was born Feb. 27, 1943, in Greenup, Ill. His wife, Jeanette (Yater) Bancroft, whom he married June 1, 1963, survives in Mooresville.
Bancroft worked in the accounting department for Harman Becker in Martinsville for the past 27 years.
He loved his family and en-joyed fishing, golfing and all sports.
Other survivors include two sons, Steven Bancroft, Valrico, Fla., and Robert Bancroft, Colleyville, Texas; brother, Richard Bancroft, Charleston, S.C.; sister, Carolyn Kilgore, Chicago, Ill., and six grandchildren, David, Nathan, Jessica, Lydia, John and Logan Bancroft.
A brother, Charles Bancroft, also preceded him in death.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday at Neal & Summers Mortuary in Martinsville. The body will be cremated.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. until time of the service Saturday at the mortuary.
