Glenna L. Benbow, 65, Morgantown, died at 9:22 a.m. on Monday, June 20, 2005, at Community South Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born Dec. 1, 1939, in Beech Grove, she was the daughter of the late Harold L. and Loretta (Chambers) Barnes. She married Gary W. Benbow on March 31, 1986. He preceded her in death on May 21, 2001.

Benbow was a retired EKG technician with St. Francis Hospital, where she worked for 25 years. She was a member of University Heights United Methodist Church in Indianapolis and was a 1957 Southport High School graduate.

She adored her grandchildren and enjoyed gardening, fishing and crocheting.

She had lived in Morgantown since 1994.

Survivors include two sons, Dan Mason of Greenwood and Jeff Mason of Indianapolis; two step sons, Craig W. Benbow of Indianapolis and David C. Benbow of Franklin; three brothers, David P. Barnes of Tampa, Fla., Allan E. Barnes of Grapevine, Texas and Stephen R. Barnes of Sarasota, Fla.; three sisters, Marilyn Burgess of Indianapolis, Carol Burgess of Greenwood and Gloria Felker of Pam Brook, Fla.; and six grandchildren.

A son, Mike Mason, preceded her in death.

The memorial service will be at 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, at University Heights Methodist Church, 4002 Otterbein Ave. in Indianapolis. Rev. Mark Dwyer will officiate. The body will be cremated.
