| | | Erma Sue Able, 66, of Indianapolis, died Jan. 26, 2006, at 7:30 p.m. at her residence.
Born June 2, 1939 in Unionville, Ind., she was the daughter of James and Aline (Nugent) Fishel, both deceased. She married Richard Dean Abel of Indianapolis. He survives.
A member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Indianapolis, she worked at the St. Simon School cafeteria in Indianapolis, and was also a homemaker.
She enjoyed fishing, birdwatching and the outdoors.
Besides her husband, survivors include two daughters, Sara Hudson of Indianapolis, and Annette Whitten; two grandchildren, Melissa and Dominiaca Hudson; and a sister, Helen Lindsey of Martinsville.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Virden and Jimmy Fishel.
Services for her will be held Tuesday, Jan. 31, at 11 a.m. at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Martinsville. The Rev. John Hall will officiate. Friends may call Monday, Jan. 30, from 5-8 p.m. at Neal and Summers Mortuary in Martinsville.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church.
Burial will be at Pleasant View Cemetery in Monroe County.
