| | | Phyllis J. Baker, 69, Martinsville, died at 10:35 p.m. Aug. 16, 2006, at Grandview Health and Rehabilitation in Martinsville.
Born May 30, 1937, in Martinsville, she was the daughter of the late Illiff Jesse and Inez Marie (Murray) Baker.
She was a claims processor for Blue Cross and Blue Shield from 1969 to 1994.
She was a 1955 graduate of Martinsville High School and she loved to travel.
Survivors include a brother, Robert L. Baker of Martinsville.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Howard E. and John T. Baker; and a sister, Frances I. Baker.
The graveside service will be 6 p.m. Monday at Harris Cemetery in Johnson County.
Neal and Summers Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
