| | | Robert P. Faith, 86, a resident of Martinsville, died July 31, 2009 at 5:40 pm at the Morgan Hospital & Medical Center, Martinsville, IN.
Mr. Faith was born in Bicknell, IN on December 20, 1922 to Ray & Alta (Shuey) Faith.
He married Betty A. (Ferree) Faith and they were married 36 years. Mrs. Faith survives, living in Martinsville. Also surviving are three daughters; Rose Perry, Mooresville, IN, Bobbie Eads, Boonville, IN and Patty White, Lynnville, IN, two sons; Perry Faith, Indianapolis, IN and Tom Faith, Evansville, IN, one step daughter; Lou Ann Downey, Martinsville, IN, 2 step sons; Steve Brunner, Martinsville, IN and Mark Brunner, Greenwood, IN and on sister; Avanelle Loving, Bicknell, IN. He was predeceased by one sister; Ruth Hubbard.
Mr. Faith retired from Indianapolis Power & Light and was also former owner & operator of Sycamore House Flowers in Martinsville. He attended the First Church of God in Martinsville and was a Bicknell High School Graduate. He served in the US Army during WWII and also served during the Battle of the Bulge and under General Patton’s 3rd Army.
He enjoyed construction work, working on cars; time shared with his family and especially enjoyed his great grandchildren.
Friends may visit Tuesday, August 4th from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at Neal & Summers Funeral & Cremation Center, Martinsville. Rev. Jim Renn will officiate at a celebration of life service Tuesday, August 4th at 11:30 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the New South Park Cemetery in Martinsville.
