| | | Ella Ruth Champa, 80, of Martinsville died at her residence at 1:25 PM on Saturday, August 8, 2009.
She was born on August 16, 1928, one of eight daughters, to the late Cyrus Mirt and Nettie (Plyler) Harriger.
On February 26, 1960 she married her best friend and soul mate, Edward John Champa. He preceded her in death on November 13, 2005.
Ella had a fondness for all animals and wildlife. She also enjoyed flower gardening and the wonders of nature. She enjoyed walking in the woods and was known to rescue and raise most any animal in need.
Her seven sisters were, Marquarite Heaster, Nin McClung, Clara Sharpe, Louise Farren, Joyce Jackson, Mildred Kidd and Nancy Wogan.
Friends are invited to a graveside memorial service on Friday, August 14, 2009 at 10:00 AM at New South Park Cemetery on Poston Road in Martinsville. Rev. Adam Varnell will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Morgan County Humane Society, 690 W. Mitchell Ave., Martinsville, Indiana 46151
