| | | Dorothy K. Isenhower, 93, a resident of Martinsville, IN died at her residence on September 13, 2009 at 5:35 am.
She was born in Martinsville, IN on June 28, 1916 to the late Hubert & Laura Pearl (Curtis) Edwards.
In March 1939 she married Tron M. Isenhower; he predeceased her on September 22, 1988.
She leaves behind one son; Charles Isenhower, Martinsville, IN, one step daughter; Tronette Hetts, Denver, CO , six grandchildren; Kelly Isenhower, Paul & Andrew Urban, Elizabeth McGowan, Alyssa Sparks and April Fox and several great grandchildren.
She was also predeceased by one sister; Ruth Allen.
She was homemaker and her memberships include the Veteran of Foreign Wars Post #1257, Martinsville and the Veterans of WWI Barracks 1644, where she served as past Auxiliary President, District President and State President. She was also a member of the First Christian Church, Martinsville, IN. She enjoyed reading and painting in oils and acrylics.
Chaplain Terry Turner will officiate a celebration of life memorial service Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at 1:00 pm at the Veteran of Foreign Wars Post #1257, 850 State Road 39 Bypass, Martinsville, IN. There will be no visitation. Burial of cremated remains will be at the Old South Park Cemetery, Martinsville, IN at a later date.
