| | | Betty Jane Wright Napier Masterson Jeffers, 85, a resident of Martinsville died Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at the St. Vincent Heart Center of Indiana in Indianapolis.
She was born November 25, 1923 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Samuel & Marie Catherine (Asmus) Norris.
She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for 25 years retiring in 1986 from the Morgan Hospital & Medical Center in Martinsville, as well as, a homemaker.
Betty was a graduate of Ben Davis High School, Indianapolis, IN and received her degree in nursing in 1958. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Martinsville and she enjoyed playing bingo and reading. Her greatest passion was her family.
She leaves behind three sons; Norris R. Wright, Indianapolis, IN, Nelson R. Wright, Martinsville, IN and Neal E. Napier of Las Vegas, NV, two daughters; Nila Mae Taylor, Indianapolis, IN and Neva Marie Hotseller, Whiteland, IN, 15 grandchildren and several great and great great grandchildren.
Betty was predeceased by her late husbands; Gilbert Wright in 1945, Vester E. Napier in 1963 and Paul Hale Jeffers in 2003, one sister; Marie Brooks and one grandson; David Anthony Rutan, Jr.
Friends may visit Sunday, September 27th from 4-6 pm at Neal & Summers Funeral & Cremation Center. A celebration of life service will begin Sunday at 6 pm with Matthew Bishop to officiate at the funeral home. A graveside service will be Monday, September 28th at 10 am at Floral Park Cemetery in Indianapolis, IN.
