| | | Lois Evelyn Wade, 71, of Gosport, IN formerly of Odon, IN died at her home on Monday, September 28, 2009 at 3:30 PM.
She was born on May 16, 1938 in Sullivan County, IN to the late Arthur & Helen (Buchanan) Woolard.
She married her husband, William “Bill” Wade on November 7, 1953; he survives, living in Gosport, IN.
She also leaves behind four sons; David (Zelta) Wade and Roger (Carrie) Wade, Gosport, IN Mike (Terry) Wade, Loogootee, IN, Bennie (Trevada) Wade, Ollitic, IN three daughters; Mary (Max) Webster and Diane (Gary) Allen, Odon, IN and Charlotte (Thomas) Linson, Indianapolis, IN, three sisters; Thelma Turner, Rockville, IN, Debra Graves, Springville, IN and Karen Woolard, Linton, IN, one brother; Leroy Woolard, Bicknell, IN, as well as, 15 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by one sister; Maxine Woolard, one brother; Orlon Lee Woolard and one great grandson; Marlon Richardson.
She was a homemaker and worked 24 years for Dearmin & Company in Odon, IN.
She was a member of the Indian Prairie Baptist Church in Carlisle, IN and she enjoyed flower gardening, her dog, puzzles & playing cards. Her greatest passion was time shared with her family.
Friends may visit Friday, Oct. 2nd from 4-8 PM at Neal & Summers Funeral & Cremation Center, Martinsville, IN and Sat., Oct. 3rd one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A celebration of life service will begin Saturday, Oct. 3rd at 10 AM at the funeral home with Rev. Robert Yount to officiate. Graveside rites will begin at 1 PM Saturday at Burns City Cemetery, Burns City, IN.
