Robert Michael “Bob” Arndorfer died Saturday night, December 22, 2007 at Kossuth Regional Health Center in Algona at the age of 64.

Bob was born June 11, 1943 in Algona, IA to Philip J. and Kathryn (McEnroe) Arndorfer. After graduating in 1961 from Corwith-Wesley High School, he attended C.E. School of Commerce, Omaha, NE. Bob returned to the Algona area where he joined the Accounting Department at Snap-On Tools. He worked there for 43 ½ years, retiring in the summer of 2005 as the Accounting Manager over the payroll, accounting and cost departments.
As busy as Bob was he never needed a calendar to keep track of his schedule until after he retired. He was a member of the Northwest Iowa Two-Cylinder Tractor Club in Spencer, IA and a Charter Member of North Central Antique Tractor Club in Clarion, IA were he served as news editor for many years. Bob enjoyed going on tractor rides and plowing events all around the state.

Bob started a lawn and garden service when his boys were young to teach his boys responsibility and provide them with pocket money. Bob continued the service on his own until his death.

Bob was a member of St. Cecelia’s Catholic Church, a member of Knight’s of Columbus, a member of the Communications Board at the Algona Municipal Utilities and a mentor in the Y-Pal program at the Algona Family YMCA.
Bob is survived by his wife Sharon of Algona; son Michael and wife Laurie of Omaha, Nebraska; son Travis of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; daughter Penny Arndorfer of Algona; son Jason of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; one granddaughter Sydney and a sister Jane McDaniel of Punta Gorda, Florida. Bob was preceded in death his parents.
