| | | Donna J. Saline, 52 of Potter, NE passed away Friday evening, April 4, 2008 at the Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, NE.
Memorial services were held at 4:00 P.M., Monday, April 7th in the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel in Sidney with Sister Marietta Spenner officiating. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, April 11, 2008 at 10:30 AM at the St. John’s Catholic Church in Bancroft with Father Paul Bormann officiating. Inurnment will follow at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, Bancroft. The family will receive visitors at the church from 9:30 A.M. until service time. Garry-Roberts-Murphy-Schaaf Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
Donna Jean Saline, the daughter of Edward Henry and Sylvia Clara (Klein) Blocker, was born on February 17, 1956 at Algona, IA. She attended and graduated from the St. John’s Catholic Schools in Bancroft. She moved to the Mankato, MN area and worked for the Carlson Craft Company. Donna then moved to the Minneapolis area where she graduated from the Brown Institute with a degree in Graphic Design. On April 25, 1997 Donna was united in marriage to Terry Saline in Minnetonka, MN. She worked as an independent designer for a time before accepting employment with Cabela’s in Sidney in 2001. Donna and Terry moved to Potter in November of 2007.
Donna very much enjoyed all the outdoors could give including gardening, fishing and spending time with her pets.
Survivors include: her husband Terry of Potter; her parents: Edward and Sylvia Blocker of Bancroft, IA; (8) brothers: David (Rita) Blocker of Mohall, ND, Jim (Omie) Blocker of Saratoga, WY, Allan (Candice) Blocker of Sheldon, IA, Richard ( Teresa) Blocker of Algona, IA, Joseph (Gail) Blocker of Hartford, SD, Phillip (Bobie) Blocker, Ronald (Lisa) Blocker and Mark (Kathy) Blocker all of Bancroft; (1) sister: Carol (Steven) Shillington of Bancroft; (26) nieces and nephews and (11) great-nieces and nephews.
Donna was preceded in death by her grandparents: Mary and Ted Klein and Henry and Elizabeth Blocker; (1) nephew: Matthew Blocker and (2) nieces: Sara Blocker and Ryane Blocker.
