| | | | Honoria Elenore Baumann was born July 27, 1906, in Willey, Iowa, daughter of Andrew S. and Mary Ann (Loesche) Miller. She spent her teenage years in Rockwell where she attended country school.
Elenore married Michael Pat Baumann on June 2, 1931, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rockwell. They then began farming in the Whittemore area where she lived until entering the Rockwell Care Center in February, 1995. Elenore loved tending to her family, collecting antiques wither her husband, and raising flowers and chickens. She also enjoyed sewing, gardening and cooking. She was a past member of the CDA, the Rosary Society, and the Home Makers Club in Whittemore.
Elenore is survived by three children, Derrold “Tiny” Baumann and his wife Becky, Plover, Iowa, Mary Ann Taylor and her husband Bryan, Rockwell, Iowa, and Jody Johnson and her husband Ron, Mason City, Iowa; 13 grandchildren, Patsy VanGampleare, Theresa Taylor, Bob Taylor, Carolyn Schmidt, Bryan C. Taylor, Mary Schenck, Jean Lindsay, Rose Walker, Mark Baumann, Joyce Rosenmeyer, Nancy Arthur, Angela Samson, and Andrew Johnson; 20 great-grandchildren; four sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Michael on November 8, 1983; her son Pat Baumann on July 1, 1995; two great-grandchildren; three sisters; and five brothers.
