Jacqueline Jean “Jackie” Kelley was born January 2, 1933, in Algona, daughter of Walter H. and Leola E. (Dally) Zentner. She grew up in Algona attending Algona Schools.

Jackie was united in marriage to James E. Kelley on September 27, 1952 at St. Cecelia Catholic Church in Algona. They made their home in Algona where she worked throughout the years at Beecher-Lane Appliance, Bjustrom Furniture, Iowa Drivers License Department, and for Wolf’s Furniture Loft. Jackie loved being with her family and friends especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening, being outdoors, and spending time at the cottage at Big Spirit Lake. Jackie also enjoyed shopping with her daughter and grand-daughters for her great-grandkids.

Jackie had many friends and she enjoyed caring and cleaning for the elderly. She was a member of St. Cecelia Catholic Church active with the Adoration Chapel and she was a past member of the CD of A.

Jacqueline J. Kelley died Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Kossuth Regional Health Center, Algona at the age of 76.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Jim Kelley of Algona; one daughter, Jeanne Ingalls and her husband Jim of Bancroft; two granddaughters, Ashley Laubenthal and her husband Tony of Bancroft and Alicia Ingalls and Mike Hammond of Swea City; five great-grandchildren, Hadyn Laubenthal (7 months) of Bancroft, Jada (5), Chase (4), Spencer (2) and Landyn (1 ˝ weeks) all of Swea City; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Helen Geilenfeld and Barbara Riley; and a brother, Bruce Zentner.
