Mrs. Cathy Sue Morris Peterson, 52, retired from General Motors and resident of Kelly Court in Culleoka, died Thursday, October 1, 2009 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Randy Miller officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com.

A native of Morris, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Charles Morris and Carol Eddingfield Morris. She was a graduate of Joliet East High School in Joliet, Illinois and retired as Operations Technician in 2008 after 30 years employment with General Motors. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her husband Rodger Peterson of Culleoka; one daughter, Lindsey Nicole Peterson of Culleoka; two step daughters, Stacey (Chris) Polcyn of DeKalb, Illinois; Shannon (Russ) Coulombe of Courtland, Illinois; one step son, Chad Peterson of Van Nuys, California; one brother, Dale (Anna) Morris of Minooka, Illinois; one sister, Ann Moser of Hodgkins, Illinois; two step grandchildren, Hilary Coulombe and Brandon Coulombe; one step great grandson, Jason Coulombe; one aunt, Frances Morris of Fayetteville, TN.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Edward Morris.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
