Marion Hamlin Paul, 78, employee of Fleming Sheet Metal for 46 years, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at his residence on the Mooresville Pike.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Harvest Baptist Church with son, Rev. Joey Paul and son, Rev. Ron Paul, and Rev. Wayne Mund of Bon Secour, Alabama officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols.

Memorials may be made to the Bible & Literature Missionary Foundation, 713 South Cannon Boulevard, Shelbyville 37169-3807, or to the Missionary Fund of Harvest Baptist Church, 119 4th Avenue, Columbia 38401. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com.

The Maury County native was the son of the late Arthur Lee Paul and Vera Smith Paul. He was a charter member of Harvest Baptist Church and for many years sang as a member of the Paul Quartet with his brothers, Donald Paul, Ronald Paul, and cousin, “Buck” Paul.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Lorraine Gifford Paul; daughters, Kay (Roy) Brady and Ginger (Patrick) Adams, both of Columbia; sons, Larry (Karen) Paul of Mt. Pleasant, Ron(Jane) Paul of Culleoka; Joey (Felecia) Paul of Owens Cross Roads, Alabama, and Michael (Lisa) Paul of Columbia; grandchildren, Jeremy Paul, Brandi (Pat) Stevens, Nathan (April) Paul, Elizabeth (Jon) McDonald, Daniel Paul, Meredith Paul, Geoffrey (Laura) Paul, Julia Paul, Michael (Karyl) Paul, David (Kristen)Paul, Houston Paul, Rowdy Paul, Krista (Mike) Reischman, Tammy (Tim) Pounders, Jon (Becky) Brady, and Brian Adams; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, Donald (Carolyn) Paul and Gerald (Joyce) Paul; sisters-in-law, Juanita Paul and Audrey (Carl) Nielson; 24 nieces and nephews; 4 step-grandchildren; special cousin, “Buck” Paul.

He was preceded in death by sisters, Ethel Chumley, Irene Lovell, Connie Messick, Marjorie McVicker; brother, Ronald C. Paul; brother-in-law, J. B. Gifford.

Grandsons will serve as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers include past and present employees of Fleming Sheet Metal and the congregation of Harvest Baptist Church.
