Of Buffalo, NY, April 13, 2004, most beloved husband of Catherine (Gipple) Smith; loving father of Dawn (Dennis) Shriber, Diane (Mark Schwede) Smith, Debra (David) Gates and the late David Smith; dear brother of Elmer (Ceil) Smith; also predeceased by other brothers and sisters; cherished grandfather of five grandchildren. The family will be present to receive friends on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the O'CONNELL-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 2286 South Park Ave, where funeral will be held Friday at 8:45 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Victory Basilica at 9:30. Mr. Smith was a member of the U.A.W. and a WWII Navy veteran. Flowers gratefully declined. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
