of Buffalo, NY, July 25, 2004, beloved wife of Lance Rosenow; loving mother of Lance Joseph, Dominic Dustin and Marisa Kaylee Rosenow; dear daughter of Larry and Marilyn (Gentile) Dustin; fond sister of Daniel Dustin; cherished granddaughter of Charlotte (late Joseph) Gentile and Mary Deth; daughter-in-law of richard Rosenow and Patricia Gorkiewicz; sister-in-law of Raquel (William) Bursee; also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, niece and nephew. The family will be present to receive friends Wednesday adn Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 Pm at the O'CONNELL-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME,2286 South Park Ave. where funeral services will be held Friday at 9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Josaphat's Church at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Josaphat's school in memory of Melonie. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Obituary
Melonie Rosenow of Buffalo, a substitute schoolteacher, died unexpectedly Sunday in St. Joseph Hospital, Cheektowaga. She was 30.
Born Melonie Dustin, Mrs. Rosenow was a lifelong Buffalonian who graduated from Hutchinson Technical High School and Trocaire College.
She was a substitute teacher at St. Josaphat's parish school in Cheektowaga, and also taught religious education at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Buffalo from 2000 to 2003.
Mrs. Rosenow enjoyed doing arts and crafts with her children, playing softball and shopping.
She is survived by her husband of 10 years, Lance; a daughter, Marisa K.; two sons, Lance J. and Dominic D.; her parents, Larry and Marilyn Dustin, and a brother, Daniel Dustin, all of Buffalo; her grandmothers, Charlotte Gentile of Lackawanna and Mary Deth of Buffalo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Josaphat's Church, William Street and Peoria Avenue, Cheektowaga. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Lackawanna.
