Edward L. Leemer
Of Buffalo, NY, September 8, 2004; beloved husband of Ellen (Corcoran) Leemer; loving father of Jeffrey (Kelli), Patrick and Kevin (Michelle) Leemer; dear brother of Ruth (William) Wallace and the late Ellen (William) Near; cherished grandfather of four grandchildren; also survived by nieces and nephews. The family will be present to receive friends Thursday 7-9 and Friday 2-4 & 7-9 at the O'CONNELL/MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 2286 South Park Ave., where a funeral will be held Saturday at 8:45 followed by A Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ambrose Church at 9:30. Mr. Leemer served in the United States Army and was an active member of Amvets in Cuba, NY. Edward L. Leemer of Buffalo, an Army veteran who worked in architecture, died unexpectedly Wednesday in Mercy Hospital. He was 59.
A lifelong Buffalo resident, Mr. Leemer was a 1965 graduate of South Park High School and a 1974 graduate of Erie Community College. He served in the Army from 1965 to 1967.

Mr. Leemer worked for 20 years as an architectural site representative with Kideney Architects of Buffalo.

Active in Post 1, Amvets, in Cuba, he was an outdoorsman and enjoyed spending time at his cottage in Cuba, camping, fishing and hunting with his sons and grandson. He also was a fan of the Buffalo Bills and Sabres.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, the former Ellen Corcoran; three sons, Jeffrey of West Seneca and Patrick and Kevin, both of Buffalo; a sister, Ruth Wallace of Buffalo; and four grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 65 Ridgewood Road. Burial, with military honors, will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Lackawanna.
