Glen “Tyke” W. Anderson, age 52, of Wheeler, WI passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2003 at his home, with family after an extensive and admirable fight against cancer.
Glen was born on April 18, 1951 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Robert and Margaret (Lloyd) Anderson. Glen grew up on a dairy farm with four brothers and two sisters in Dunn County. He graduated from Colfax High School in 1970 where he enjoyed wrestling.
In June of 1970, he married Nelda Prince. Together they raised two daughters. He worked in a foundry for a few years, owned a furniture store later in life and also spent many years as a professional over the road truck driver. With a two million plus safe driving record, Glen remained accident-free until he retired in 2002.
In his spare time, Glen enjoyed fishing, hunting, water-skiing, riding snowmobile, 4-wheeling, camping and especially playing with his two grandchildren.
He will be missed for his sense of honor, his philosophy of life, the encouragement he gave to the ones he loved, his sense of humor, and the dreams and knowledge he shared with all who knew him.
Tyke is survived by:
His 2 daughters, Stacey (Steven) Asmus and Tracey (James) Frassel
2 grandchildren, Justin Anderson and Zachariah Asmus
2 sisters and 3 brothers, Carol (Lyle) Ebling, Patricia (Kevin) Davis, John (Jane) Anderson, Jim (Cindy) Anderson, Joseph Anderson (Lori Hoffman)
Nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends
