Ramona Rae (Jensen) Bandelow

Ramona, age 70, died on Wednesday, December 10, 2008, at home with her family after a long battle with cancer. The family wishes to thank Northwest Wisconsin Homecare and Hospice for making this possible.

Ramona was born on March 1, 1938, to Lawrence and Alta (Snittler) Jensen in the township of Weston, Dunn Co., WI. She is a 1956 graduate of Menomonie High School. She married three times; Douglas Wald in September 1954; Ronald Singerhouse in 1974; and Lowell Bandelow in 1983. She worked as an Accountant/Administrative Secretary for Fuhrman Tax Services, Muza & Muza Attorneys and Indianhead Enterprises of Menomonie. She retired in 2001 from McPhillips Brothers Roofing of N. St. Paul, MN after 14 years of service.

In her younger years, Ramona enjoyed floating the Red Cedar River and lots of snowmobiling. In 1978 she was instrumental in forming the Irvington Booster Club. She loved nature and her walks along the river to her “special log” with Buddy her dog. She created many flower gardens of rocks, elves and fairies. She sure did a lot of knitting and crocheting while caring for her husband with Alzheimer’s. She loved to play cards with relatives and friends and was a very gifted writer of poems, diaries and stories of her Danish heritage. In her final days she enjoyed bird watching with a “bird’s eye view”.
