Loren E. Blakley, age 72, of Menomonie died Sat., Oct. 25, 2003 at his home. Loren was born Oct. 17, 1931 in the twp. of Menomonie, Dunn Co. to Everett and Myrtle Blakley. He graduated from Memorial High School in Eau Claire. He married Lois Dickson on Oct. 22, 1960 in Eau Claire. Loren worked at Don’s Super Valu in Menomonie as the Produce Manager for 34 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and talking to people at his favorite activity, the casino. Loren is survived by: 2 children Mike Blakley of Menomonie Kim (David) Clark of Menomonie 2 nephews Jerome (Gay) Evenson of Menomonie Billy (Alice) Evenson of Boyceville A sister-in-law, Betty (LaVerne) Miller of Eau Claire A brother-in-law, Don Dickson of FL 2 special kids Mark and Joel Wood of Menomonie Other relatives and friends He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lois; 1 brother, Russell and a sister, Opal. Funeral services will be 11 AM Tues., Oct. 28, 2003 at Christ Lutheran Church in Menomonie with the Rev. Rolf Morck officiating. Burial in Christ Lutheran/Halvorson Cemetery, twp. of Menomonie, Dunn Co. Visitation Mon., Oct 27 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie and on Tues. one hour prior to the service at the church. | ||
