Robert Clifford Bodsberg, age 83, of Boyceville, WI died Mon., Dec. 29 2003 at Myrtle Werth Hospital – Mayo Health Systems in Menomonie. Bob was born on December 26, 1920 in the township of Baldwin, St. Croix County to Jens C. and Clara Josephine (Peterson) Bodsberg. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith by Rev. H. P. Nordby in Baldwin. He attended East Baldwin Grade School. Bob worked for several farmers in the Baldwin area until 1942 when he was summoned to serve his country in World War II. He served three and a half years in the US Army. One year being served overseas in the ETO (European Theater Operation). Bob was joined in marriage to Luella (Schultz) on May 2, 1944 in Abilene, TX. The marriage was blessed with two children, Robert M. and Marilyn. He worked in Knapp and Milwaukee until 1952 when they moved to their farm north of Boyceville. Bob farmed and also worked at the Barron County Lime Quarry for many years! He enjoyed listening to the Twins & Vikings! He also enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. (Michelle) Bodsberg of Boyceville James (Leslie) Bodsberg of Boyceville Rocky Bodsberg of Boyceville Tracy (Eric) Franseen of Boyceville Rondell S. (Erika) Hybben of Knapp 10 great-grandchildren Aaron, Michael, Robert J., Riley, Krista, Cansis and Cameron Bodsberg Kyle and Kysa Franseen, Kari Hybben 1 sister, Betty Jordahl of LaMirada, CA 2 brothers-in-law Murrell (Donna) Schultz of Knapp Erv Hurtgen of Knapp Several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Ernest and Curtis Bodsberg; 1 sister , Cora Thompson Funeral services 2:00 PM Fri., Jan. 2, 2004 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Boyceville with the Rev. Kevin Leidich officiating. Burial in Teegarden Cemetery, Twp. of Stanton, Dunn Co. with Military Honors provided by the Menomonie Veteran’s Honor Guard. Family and friends are welcome from 4:00 until 7:00 on Thurs., Jan. 1 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie and from 1:00 PM until time of service on Fri. at the church. The pallbearers will be his grandchildren: Jeffrey, Robert T., James and Rocky Bodsberg, Rondell S. Hybben and Eric Franseen. Robert C.
