Thomas Gerald Bisson, age 71, formerly of Boyceville, WI passed away at the Area Nursing Home in Colfax on Thursday, October 28, 2004 in the company of his daughter and son-in-law. Tom was born September 25, 1933 in Menomonie, WI to William “Mac” and Irene (Doughty) Bisson. He graduated from Boyceville High School and served in the U.S. Army in Korea. He schooled in electronics at Dunwoody in Minneapolis, MN and worked for various companies including: Honeywell, Fabretek and TEC. In 1972 Tom bought Fennie Oil in Boyceville. He owned Bisson’s Union 76, Car Wash and Laundromat. He married Joan Hobbick in 1962 and later divorced. Tom enjoyed the challenge of a good remodeling project; he remodeled several homes in the Boyceville area in his lifetime. He was a member of the Wheeler V.F.W. Post 10424 and he was also an Airport Booster and worked with the Fly-In Pancake Breakfast for many years. Tom is survived by: His daughter, Linda (Scott) Ullom of Hudson Two beloved granddaughters, Nichole and Jessica Ullom also of Hudson A brother, David (Lisa) Bisson-Schaefer of Glenwood, MN Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends He was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother, Norma (Bisson) Verlinden; 2 brothers, John “Jack” Bisson and Richard Bisson; and a step-sister, JoAnn Slind. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2004 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie. Burial will be in Tiffany Cemetery in Boyceville, with military honors by V.F.W. Post 10424. Family and friends are welcome at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the time of the service on Wednesday. | ||
