Julia Esther Anderson, age 88, of Sauk Prairie, WI formerly of Black River Falls, Red Wing and Wheeler, died Friday, Dec. 24, 2004 at Maplewood Care Center in Sauk Prairie.
The former Julia Esther Loback was born May 10, 1916 in the Township of Otter Creek, Dunn Co., WI to Olaf and Anna (Christianson) Loback. She married Vernon Joseph Anderson on Nov. 3, 1934 in Colfax, WI. Together they farmed in Otter Creek Township until 1962 when they owned and operated the Wheeler Feed Mill. Julia managed the office and did the bookkeeping.
Julia and her husband enjoyed fishing and Julia stayed busy gardening, canning, sewing, caring for her girls and sharing in the farm work. She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Wheeler and proudly supplied her wonderful lefse, baked goods, and labor for the Ladies Aide Suppers.
The most important things in her life were her religion and her family.

10 grandchildren
14 great-grandchildren
A very special sister, Alma Jones of Downing
And many other relatives and friends
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Vernon in Jan. 1985; her parents; 7 brothers, Hjalmer, Clifford, Alvin, Edwin, Melvin, Conrad and Arvid Loback.
Funeral services in celebration of Julia’s life will he held at 11:00 AM Thursday, Dec. 30, 2004 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Wheeler, WI with Rev. Kari Pancoast officiating. Burial will be in Our Savior’s Lutheran Cemetery in the Township of Hay River, Dunn Co., WI. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service on Thursday, and family may call from 9:00 AM until the time of the service on Thursday. Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie is assisting the family with arrangements.
