Gail D. Berglin, age 76, of Boyceville, WI died Saturday, Jan. 7, 2006 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.
The former Gail D. Amundsen was born January 26, 1929 in Downing, WI to Clarence and Viola (Hoitomt) Amundsen. Following graduation from Glenwood City High School, she attended Business College in the Twin Cities.
Gail was employed as a bookkeeper at various places in the cities, and later in Boyceville.
She married Maynard “Bergie” Berglin on June 4, 1955 in a double ring ceremony with good friends Barb and Fred Burrow. Gail and Bergie moved to Boycevile in 1962 where she worked for Hedlund Manufacturing Company and Kadinger’s Auto Salvage.
Gail and Bergie were active members of Trinity Lutheran Church in Boyceville, where Gail served as financial secretary for eight years prior to her retirement in the summer of 2005.
Gail is survived by:
Her two stepsons,
Gary (Dee) Berglin and their sons, Brady (Theresa) and Ryan
Glenn and his daughters, Krystal and Amanda and their children
Her two sisters,
Elaine (Richard) Berg, and sons Mike (Missy) Berg and their children, Joe (Ellen) Berg and their children
Helen (Nick) Riggio, children, Kevin (Susan) Olson and Amy Wong and children, stepsons, Nick and Anthony and their families
She was preceded in death by her husband, Maynard; step-son, Gregg; and grandson, Christopher.
Gail had a sunny disposition and was such a sweet person. She will be missed by her family and friends.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, Jan. 13, 2006 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Boyceville with Rev. Brad Peterson officiating. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery in the Town of Tiffany, Dunn Co., WI. Family and friends are welcome from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie and at the church one hour prior to the service on Friday.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials to Trinity Lutheran Church Building Fund.
