Kenneth R. Helland, age 64, of Boyceville, WI passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009. Kenneth Russel Helland was born March 19, 1945 in Chippewa Falls, WI to Albert and Phoebe (Moore) Helland. He was an outstanding athlete for Boyceville High School, graduating in 1963. Ken married the love of his life Karen “Kaye” Pickerign on Nov. 14, 1964 in Menomonie, WI. Ken’s passion was his family, the outdoors and sports. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Ken is survived by: His loving wife Kaye Helland of Boyceville His two sons, Kevin (Ann) Helland of Menomonie Kelly (Diane) Helland of Boyceville Four beloved grandchildren, Karli, Karmen, Rachel and Brady Brothers and sisters, Richard (Joan) Helland of Benton City, WA Gene (Linda) Helland of Fonda, IA Betty (Leonard) Johnson of Eau Claire Beverly (James) Woodford of Eau Claire Sharon (Dale) Bachler of Sun City, AZ Sister-in-law, Charlene Helland of Altoona Many special nieces and nephews, other relatives and dear friends He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters, Florence Christopherson, Dolores Ailport, Lorraine Romano, Donald Helland, Duane Helland, Raymond Helland, Joanne Hughes, Roger Helland and Marilyn Helland. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm Sunday, November 8, 2009 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, with Pastor Paul Carlson officiating.
