| | | Rock Valley, IA: Margaret Mulder, 84, of Rock Valley, died Sunday, August 10, 2008 at a Sioux Falls Hospital. Funeral Service will be 1:30 pm Thursday at Calvin Christian Reformed Church, Rock Valley. Burial at Hillside Cemetery, Doon, IA. Rev. Gideon Wamala will be officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday with the family present 7-8:30 pm Wednesday at Porter Funeral Home, Rock Valley.
Margaret Faber was born June 15, 1924 at Doon, daughter of Wayne and Alice (Gort) Faber. Margaret married Robert “Bob” Mulder on December 27, 1941 at Doon. Together they farmed near Doon until moving to Rock Valley in 1965. Margaret worked at Valley Manor for many years and later Margaret and Bob operated the B and M Antique Business until 1998. Bob died on March 11, 2001. Margaret moved to Valley Manor in April 2007.
Margaret is survived by 3 sons, Dr. Rodney (Lucarol) Mulder, Merle (Rosalyn) Mulder all of Grand Rapids, MI, Ray (Nancy) Mulder of Rock Valley; daughter, Sheryl (Walter Sr.) Vander Waal of Orange City, IA; 16 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Sadie (Joe) Wybenga of Seal Beach,CA, Nella (Jerry) Van Aalsburg of Lakewood, CA, Agnes (Dean) Kruger of Sioux City, IA; brother-in-law, Elvin Mulder of Doon; sister-in-law, Mildred Mulder of Orangevale, CA.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; sister, Inez Mulder; brothers, Frank, Harry, Henry, and Ike Faber.
