Carrie was born February 5, 1922 at Sioux Center, daughter of John H. and Eibertje (Westhuis) Klein, recent immigrints from Holland. She grew up in rural Sioux Center. On February 5, 1945, she married Jake Van Regenmorter. They farmed near Sioux Center until 1951 when they purchased a farm near Inwood. She was an active partner in their farming operation.
