| | | Carthel Dean Whitener , 77, of Judsonia, passed away July 15, 2009. He was born in Tyler, Arkansas to Grover and Ruth Grissom Whitener. He is a loving family man and retired from the Air Force and King Furniture. He served as a Deacon at the Salem Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Easter Whitener; three sons, Lindell Whitener ( Linda), Kenneth Whitener ( Renee), and Kim Whitener all of Judsonia.; a brother, Howard Whitener of Batesville, and a sister Gertrude Scott of Cedar Grove, Mo.
He is preceded in death by a son Larry Whitener and his wife Sang.
