| | | Olen Roger Overby, 60 years of age, of Searcy went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, August 5, 2009.
Mr. Overby was born March 1, 1949 in Los Angeles, California the son of George and Mildred Allen Overby. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving on the USS Kittyhawk during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a faithful servant of the Lord for over 30 years.
His survivors include his wife, Martha Duncan Overby of Searcy; a daughter, Sarah Overby and her fiancé Jason Crouse of Searcy; a sister, Frances Ann Fernandez of La Mirada, California; two aunts, Hazel Bonfiglio of Whittier, California, Irene Kiefer of Dyersburg, Tennessee; an uncle, Bud Allen of Joplin, Missouri; a nephew, Philippe Fernandez of La Mirada, California; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Davie and Joan Duncan; a sister-in-law, Dr. Mary Ann Brown and her husband, Garry Brown of Hot Springs.
Mr. Overby was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Lance Overby.
