| | | Henry Klotz, Jr., of Russell and son of the late Henry William and Marie Smith Klotz passed from this earthly life September 19, 2009. Born November 14, 1929, Mr Klotz was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather, who will be deeply missed by his adoring family. Mr. Klotz served in the Korean War and later went to work for Arkansas General Industries where he stayed until retirement. In his spare time he loved to work on vehicles, especially antiques. Mr. Klotz served the city of Russell as Mayor, firefighter, police officer, city councilman, and city recorder/treasurer and was a 55 year member of Buyers Lodge # 81 of Bradford, Arkansas. He loved life and loved to smile, tell jokes, and work crossword puzzles. Left to mourn his loss but cherish his memory are his devoted wife of 56 years Zela Marie Pyle Klotz, two daughters, Lela O’Neill and husband Bill, Kristen Dodd, five grandchildren, Clarissa Mahanay and husband Sean, Nicholas Cooper, Katherine Hurd, Allyn Dodd, and Jake Dodd, three great-granddaughters; Sela and Haleigh Cooper, Tristyn Mahanay, one great-grandson, two brothers Bo Klotz and wife Alpha and Bill Klotz and wife JoAnne and several nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Ray Klotz and his sister Joan Klotz.
Funeral Services were held Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Bald Knob. Internment was in Carter Cemetery at Russell.
