| | | Elvis Wayne Jackson, age 70, of Bald Knob, died Tuesday, September 29, 2009. He was born August 3, 1939 in Denmark a son of the late Art and Margaret Jones Jackson. He was a retired brick layer and enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.
He is survived by his sons, Elvis Wayne Jackson, Jr of Bald Knob and Dale Jackson of Paul’s Valley, Oklahoma; brothers, Lloyd Jackson of Russell, Raymond Jackson of Van Alystene, Texas, Doyle Jackson of Possum Grape, Donald Jackson of Bradford, Dean Jackson of Searcy and Troy Jackson of Bradford; sisters, Jean Rogers Shirley Steele and Faye Steele all of Bradford, Delois McCorkle of Bald Knob and Rita Larson of Indiana; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by hiswife, Iretha; sons, Marvin and Keith Jackson; brothers, Herbert and Glen Jackson.
Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. Thursday. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 2, 2009 at the Powell Funeral Chapel, Bald Knob. Interment will follow in the Prince Cemetery. www.powellfuneralhome.net.
