Mae Aleene (Michael) Wilbanks Kelly was born January 20, 1920 in McNairy County Tennessee where she was a 1938 graduate of Selmer High. After moving to Memphis in 1947 she attended Memphis School of Business and worked as a legal secretary. In 1998 she moved to Searcy, Arkansas where she lived until departing this world on October 8, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband William M. Kelly; parents Wiley and Gracie (Jones) Michael, and two Brothers Mansel and Norman Michael (Nora). She is survived by two daughters Patricia Gann of Como, MS and Laura Young of McRae, AR., two brothers, Gordon Michael of Selmer, TN. and T.L. Michael (Ruth) of Ripley, TN.; 6 Grandchildren, Lavender Flagg (Joe) of Germantown, TN, Lanessa Stephens (Gary) of Cabot, AR, Shanena Gelsinger of Walls, MS, Lurinda Coates of Como MS, James Gann Jr. (Daryl) of Memphis, TN and Jason Young (Kristin) of McRae, AR; 15 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren. She was a 50+ year member of the Order of the Eastern Star (Bethel Grove Chapter 338), 30 years of which she held the office of Secretary and served as Grand Instructor for the state of Tennessee. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Searcy. Arrangements are with Powell Funeral home and a memorial service is planned for October 17, at 11:30am at Oakville Masonic Lodge, Memphis, Tennessee.
