| | | Katy Jean Robertson Pankey, 82, of Judsonia, died Friday, Oct. 23, 2009, after a long illness. Born Dec. 22, 1926, in Judsonia, she was the daughter of the late J.W. “Willie” Robertson and Mattie Ethyl Hembree Robertson.
She worked for The Daily Citizen, was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. She was an animal lover who had numerous pet cats. She also loved to feed the ducks in Friendly Acres Park in Judsonia. She contributed to several humane, environmental and health organizations and to several church of Christ ministers.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Robert “Bob” Thomas Pankey of Judsonia; one daughter, Debbie Latimer of Searcy, and her husband, Jack; and three grandchildren, Holly Latimer, and Robert “Bobby” and Jeremy Pankey, all of Judsonia.
She was preceded in death by her son, Robert “Rob” Pankey Jr. ; two siblings, William “Billy” Robertson and Helen Robertson Bauer and her parents.
