| | | James A. Fredrick, 58, of 167 Thayer St., died at 2:39 A.M. Saturday (Jan. 10, 2009) in WCA Hospital.
He was born May 15, 1950 in Americus, Ga., the son of Henry and Mary Alice McCoy Fedrick.
Before retiring due to disability, he had been employed as a driver with the New York State Department of Transportation.
A member of the Open Door Baptist Church in Cassadaga, he enjoyed fishing and repairing cars. He loved country music, especially George Jones.
Surviving are his wife of over thirty years, Roxanne Blair Fredrick; three sons: Tyrone Fredrick of Jamestown, Charles Fredrick of Angola, N.Y., and James “Jimmy” Fredrick, Jr. of Dewittville; nine daughters: Betty Jo Fredrick of Orlando, Fla., Shawnea Fredrick of Lakewood, Deanna Bindle of Puerto Rico, Sara Walker of Sinclairville, and Melinda Jackson, Rachael Fredrick, Stacey Williams, Holly Fredrick, and Nicole Fredrick, all of Jamestown; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; two brothers: Billy McCoy of Dallas, Tex., and Willie Fedrick of Fredonia; and five sisters: Ola Mae Grice of Buffalo, Katie Ellis of Fredonia, Izola Marshall of Jamestown, and Natalie Sutton and Bertha Watson, both of Atlanta, Ga.
He was preceded in death by a son, James Fredrick; two brothers, Henry and Peter Fedrick; and by a sister, Betty Reeder.
The funeral will be at 1:00 P.M. Thursday in Powers, Present & Sixbey Funeral Home. The Rev. Mark Emke of the Open Door Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Forestville Cemetery.
