| | | | Alvin Duane Anderson, 73, of 67 Boulevard, Celoron, died Tuesday (Aug. 25, 2009) in his home.
He was born May 13, 1936 in Jamestown, the son of William and Mary Hansen Anderson.
He had been a self-employed upholsterer.
Surviving are three sons: Bradley D., Steven W., and Darryl A. Anderson, all of Celoron; five grandchildren: Regina, Shannon, Ryan, and Kristen Anderson, and Cassandra Nickerson; several great grandchildren; a brother, Jim Anderson of Florida; and a sister, Virginia Scott of Russell, Pa.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra J. Knapp Anderson, who died Dec. 11, 2003.
The funeral will be at 3:00 P.M. Friday in Powers, Present & Sixbey Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the funeral service Friday in the funeral home.
