Lorraine V. Johnson
Lorraine V. Johnson, 90, formerly of 23 W. Third St., died at 1:30 P.M. Wednesday (Sept. 24, 2009) in the Lutheran Home and Rehab Center. She was born Dec. 24, 1918 in E. Randolph, the daughter of John A. and Kate Martin Terhune. A 1938 graduate of Jamestown High School, she had formerly attended the First Covenant Church and Brooklyn Heights United Methodist Church, where she was active with the choir. She was a life member of the former Charles St. School P.T.A. She is survived by a son, David J. Johnson of South Carolina; two grandsons: Jeremiah Johnson of South Carolina, and Kurt Johnson of Utah; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivar H. Johnson, Jr. A memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced. Memorials may be made to the Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Rd., Jamestown, N.Y. 14701. Powers, Present & Sixbey Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
