| Allan S. Erickson, 75, of 157 Park St., died at 7:55 P.M. Sunday (July 4, 2004) in Tanglewood Manor.
He was born April 30, 1929 in Jamestown, a son of Miner and Myrtie Nyberg Erickson.
A 1948 graduate of Jamestown High School, he had served in the U.S. Navy Reserves.
Prior to his retirement in 1991, he had been employed as a custodian at the First Lutheran Church for fifteen years, and earlier had worked at the former Art Metal Manufacturing Co.
He was a member of First Lutheran Church, where he was active with the senior choir, and was also a member and past chief of Ingjald Lodge #65, Independent Order of Vikings, where he was a long time member of the Viking Male Chorus.
He is survived by a daughter, Susan E. Przybelinski of Jamestown; and three grandchildren: Krista M. and Kyle S. Przybelinski, both of Jamestown, and Linnea C. Anderson of Kennedy.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Donna Christofferson, whom he married Oct. 4, 1952, and who died May 14, 1988; a daughter, Julie Erickson Anderson, who died Dec. 13, 1993; and by a brother, Gordon Erickson.
A memorial service will be at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday in Memorial Chapel of First Lutheran Church. The Rev. Mary Anne Nelson-Loefke, interim pastor, and the Rev. Mary Lee Krahn, Hospice chaplain, will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
