| | | | Emmett L. "Bunk" Ecker, Jr., 65, of 5843 Dole Swamp Rd., Panama, died at 11:05 A.M. Wednesday (Feb 19, 2003) in WCA Hospital.
He was born July 24, 1937 in Watts Flats, a son of the late Emmett L. and Edith Lewis Ecker.
He was a graduate of Panama High School, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Before retiring, he had been employed as a butcher at Fairbank Farms, and had been self employed in various light construction and maintenance work.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bingo, and being with his grandchildren. In earlier years he had been a stock car race driver at several area tracks.

Wife - the former Elsie G. Troup
Daughter - Jodie Gottliel
Step Son - Jack Troup
Step Daughter - Roxanne Lang
Grandchildren - Kera Gottliel, April Howard, Heather Reed, Wendy Frye, Pam Troup, Bobbie Jo Frye

Sister - Leona Sheldon
He was preceded in death by a brother, Norm Ecker, and 2 sisters: Dorothy Covey and Fayne Edwards.
Rev. Larry Hendrickson will officiate at the service.
Burial will be in Grant Cemetery, Niobe.
