Mr. Thomas Craig Dodge, 61, of Marietta, Georgia died at 5:40 a.m. on Friday, August 28, 2009 of pancreatic cancer at Hospice Atlanta, Atlanta, Georgia.

Born October 13, 1947 in Burlington, Iowa he was the son of Lawrence "Jack" and Ethel Anna Burgus Dodge. On October 7, 1967 he married Carol Jean Lindy in Ft. Campbell, Kentucky.

Mr. Dodge served in the Army, Americal Division Band, Vietnam. He was a Senior Vice President of Asset Management, Commercial Real Estate.

He was of Lutheran Faith. He loved to play golf and adored his grandchildren and was a member of ICSC, Indian Hill Golf Association. Tom's courage, boundless sense of humor, focus on family and faith in God gave him the strength to persevere through many challenges throughout the last three months of his life. He will be missed everyday, loved till the end of time, and always remembered for his bravery, selflessness and dignity.

He is survived by his wife; one daughter, LeeAnn (Berry) Dodge Gibson of Pittsburgh, PA; one sister, Susan (Larry) Mason of Bloomington, IL; two granddaughters, Reagan Taylor and Jillian Grace Gibson; one niece, Tricia (Brian) Mason Dege of Woodbury, MN; one nephew, Michael (Sheri) Mason of Castle Rock, CO; one great-nephew, Tyler Mason.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will receive friends one half hour prior to the service.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the Bethany Lutheran Church. Rev. Carl Engstrom will officiate. Military Rites will be performed by the Burlington Area Veteran Honor Guard. There will be a Celebration of Life Service at a later date in Atlanta.

A memorial has been established for Cure Pancreatic Cancer Lustgarten Foundation (www.curePC.org).
