| | | Mary Helen Grivich, 80, of Burlington died at the Burlington Care Center, Burlington, IA, on Saturday, September 26, 2009 at 7:15 p.m.
Born on July 20, 1929, she was the daughter of Andrew and Helen Kraplyan Grivich.
Ms. Grivich worked for Lipton Tea and Thatcher Glass in Streator, Illinois. She spent most of her life in Burlington, working for ADM and Metro Mail, Mt. Pleasant. Her passions were polka dancing, bingo, animals, friends and family. She was of the Catholic faith.
She is survived by one sister, Sylvia (Robert) Wargo of Streator, Illinois, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, John Grivich, one brother-in-law and two nephews.
Funeral services for Mary Helen Grivich will he held on Friday, October 2, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Prugh’s Chapel in Burlington, Iowa. Fr. Patrick Hilgendorf will officiate. Friends may call after 8:00 a.m. on Friday. The family will receive friends and family one hour prior to the service on Friday in Prugh’s Chapel. Following the service, the body will be cremated with burial at Aspen Grove Cemetery at a later date.
