Robert Francis Wysong, age 62 of 1843 Libertyville Road, Libertyville
Died Sunday morning, March 13, 2011 at Good Samaritan Center in Keosauqua.
Bob was born July 20, 1948 at Perry, Iowa to Robert Vernon and Perrinne Yvonne Henauffe`.
He graduated from East High School in Des Moines in 1966 and from Drake University in 1972.
Robert married Marge Streck on July 12, 1969 at ST. Theresa Church in Des Moines.
He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Fairfield and Knights of Columbus.
Bob worked as a claims adjuster for Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance Company for 31 years.
He worked as a survey technician for French-Reneker and Associates before his retirement.
He enjoyed outdoors activities from Canadian fishing trips to deer, Caribou, Moose and Antelope hunting with family and friends. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Surviving are his wife, 2 daughters Jennifer ( Joe ) Bishop of Cedar Rapids and Anne (Quentin) Crowner of Ankeny; 4 grandchildren ; his mother of Indianola and 2 brothers:
Jean Wysong of Carlisle and Bernard Wysong of Des Moines.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 A.M. Thursday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Fairfield with Father Stephen C. Page officiating.
Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.
A Knights of Columbus Rosary will be recited on Wednesday at 4:30 P.M. at Raymond Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at Raymond’s.
Memorials may be made to ARC of East Central Iowa for Bob’s special needs granddaughter Julie; to the Good Samaritan Society Hospice of Ottumwa or to St. Mary Catholic Church in Fairfield. Memorials may be mailed to 1843 Libertyville Road, Libertyville, Iowa 52567 or left at the funeral home.
