Obituary - Fairfield

Mary Louise Anders age 88 of Fairfield died Sunday evening, May 8, 2011
At Sunny Brook Living Care Center.
Born September 28, 1922 on a farm near Packwood to Hugh Henry and Irma Wilson Miller. She moved at age 6 years old to her grandpaís farm in Longview (near Stockport).
She attended East Union School near Stockport and graduated in 1940 from Fairfield High School. She married Don H. Anders on February 21, 1942 at Kahoka, Missouri.
She lived most of her married life in Fairfield. Mary was a member of the First Christian Church in Fairfield, where she was a Sunday School teacher for over 25 years.
She had worked at Placeís and Harrison Department stores.
Mary was a member of the Jefferson County Hospital Auxiliary, and volunteered at the Lordís Cupboard, the Bargain Box and the gift shop at the hospital.
Deceased family members include her husband on April 18, 1985, her parents and brother Kenneth Miller.
Surviving are her 3 children: Rick and Betty Anders of Muscatine, IA; Lloyd and Susan
Anders of Mesa, AZ and Cathy ( Steve Mahan) Bailey of Douds, IA.
5 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren plus a brother Keith Miller of Richmond, VA and 6 nieces and 3 nephews.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, May 12 at the Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield with Pastor Suzanne Swahn and Pastor Frosty Van Voorst officiating.
Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00 until 6:00 P.M. at Raymond Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church or to the Lordís Cupboard.
Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield is in charge of arrangements.
