Jane A. Ready
Owner/Funeral Director
Jane joined the staff at Ready Funeral Home in 2001 as a licensed funeral director. Jane is a graduate of Orleans High School and attended Bay State Academy in Boston. In 1966 Jane returned to Burlington where she met her late husband, William J. Ready. Before joining Ready Funeral Home, Jane was employed at St. Michael's College in the Registrar's Office. Jane had the opportunity to be a stay at home Mom, and during that time volunteered at the Fletcher Allen Hospital and the American Red Cross. Jane has two children a daughter, Michele and her husband John who have made her the proud grandparent of Gabi and Jackand Sydnee, and a son Michael Ready of Burlington. Jane has a love of the outdoors - in the summer you can find her swimming or boating on Lake Champlain. She also enjoys hiking, skiing and tennis. Jane has made the commitment of continuing the tradition of her late husband, Bill and her father in law, George Ready.
Michele Ready Ambrosino
Owner/Funeral Director
Michele returned to Ready Funeral Home in 2002 after spending 8 years in Boston in the financial services industry. Michele is the daughter of the late Bill Ready and the granddaughter of the late George Ready. She is a 3rd generation Ready to work in funeral service. Michele and her husband John have three children, Gabriella and Jack, and Sydnee who are the light of their lives. In her free time, Michele enjoys spending time with her family at the lake and traveling. Michele is proud to carry on the family tradition of service to the community.
Robert E. Brown
Funeral Director
Bob has been with the Ready Funeral Home since 1975. He was educated in the Burlington Catholic Schools and graduated from Rice Memorial High School in 1975. He attended Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, New York where he received an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Mortuary Science. Bob received his Professional Licensing as an Embalmer and Funeral Director in 1979. He is married to Mary Ellen Eno of Burlington and is the father to two grown sons, Christopher Robert Brown, and Andrew Patrick Brown. Bob is a member of the Vermont Funeral Directors Association serving on it's Executive Board and is a past president, he is also a member of the National Funeral Directors Association and was a Policy Board member. Bob also is a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks 916, he is a board member for the Stephen J. Brown Junior Golf Foundation. Bob is active in many community organizations. He is also an avid golfer and sports enthusiast.
Thomas M. Senecal
Funeral Director
Tom came to the Ready Funeral Home in June of 1986 from St. Johnsbury with 12 years experience in funeral service. He is a graduate of Mount St. Joseph Academy in Rutland and of Gupton Mortuary School in Atlanta, GA. Tom has two sons, Jason who is currently in the U.S. Navy in Charleston, SC and his daughter Emily, and Eric who is finding his place in this world of Goose Creek, SC. Tom and his wife Suzy live in Essex Junction. He was instrumental in the development of the Essex Business and Professional Association and served as that organizations first president. For relaxation, Tom enjoys woodworking, motorcycling and the shooting sports. In 1992 he fulfilled a lifelong dream and earned his private pilots license.
Jeffrey C. Chalmers
Funeral Director
Jeff began his career with the Ready Funeral Home in 1991 as a part-time staff member while attending Johnson State College where he received his bachelors degree in 1994. In 1996 Jeff obtained his funeral directors license and became a full-time member of the Ready staff. Jeff is the proud father of two sons, Logan born in June of 2000 and Brendan, born in September 2003. Jeff is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hunting, fishing and most sport activities. Jeff is also a licensed teacher, and through coaching, continues his enthusiasm for teaching and encouraging today's youth. Experience, compassion and professionalism are Jeff's commitments to providing the care and guidance to the families of our community.
John A. Ambrosino
Funeral Director/Manager Adirondack Burlington Cremation
John joined Ready's in 2003. He graduated from St. Michael's College in 1993 with his Bachelor's Degree. After spending many years in the financial services industry in Boston, John decided to join Ready's serving families in the community. John has a love for the outdoors and in the summer enjoys biking and spending time at the lake with his family. He is also an avid sports fan. John has a great respect for his father in law Bill and will continue to serve families with the same dedication they have become accustomed to.
Joyce C. Curry
Controller
Joyce is our controller and is responsible for our financial matters. She first started with the company in 1974 working part-time. In 1984 her family moved out of state and in 1998 she returned to Ready's working full time managing our office. Prior to her return, she ran her own successful cottage business. Joyce has two sons and one grandson. She has a B.A. in Business Management. Her hobbies include scuba diving, fly-fishing and gardening.
Lori Saunders
Administrative Assistant
Lori joined the staff of Ready Funeral Home in September of 1989. She is a graduate of Mount Abraham High School and attended Johnson State College. She has two daughters, Jennifer and Kristen. In the summer, Lori enjoys spending time in her perennial garden. In the winter, she has recently started snowshoeing. Lori takes great pride in the administrative tasks that are necessary to assist the funeral directors. She enjoys working with clients to provide them the customer service they deserve.
