| | | Robert F. Andrews, 70, died at Starr Farm Nursing Home on September 20, 2008 surrounded by his family. He was born in Middlebury, Vermont on September 21, 1937, the son of Robert L. and Florence K. (Danyew) Andrews. He attended Elementary and High School in Middlebury, VT and worked in the tool design area in the manufacturing business. He worked at Simmons Precision, Vergennes, VT; HP Hood in Middlebury, VT; and Ingersol Rand in Southern New Hampshire. Bob was also involved in antique and model train collection and sales. He was a lifetime member of Saint Stephens Episcopal Church in Middlebury and served in the United States Army.
Bob enjoyed weekly visits by his cousin Ron and excellent care and loving friendship from members of the Starr Farm staff. He was an avid deer hunter, including bow and arrow, rifle, and black powder. He also enjoyed stream and deep sea fishing.
Bob is survived by his Aunt Frances and Uncle Robert Hall of Shelburne, VT; Aunt Doris and Uncle Stewart Danyew of Windsor, VT; Aunt Germaine and Uncle Everette Wood of Windsor, VT; and several cousins and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at 10:30 AM in the Ready Funeral Home, South Chapel, 261 Shelburne Road. Visiting Hours will be from 9:30 to 10:30 AM before the service. Burial will follow at Waterbury Center Cemetery, Maple Street.
